Solutions Architect
A bit about the role
- Designing from the vision down to the application and infrastructure architecture level - supporting the Solution Architecture and Solution Engineering to Infrastructure Team.
- Design and implement robust data assets, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Being the principal SME and owning the roadmap for one of our foundational technologies such as Databases, Finance Systems, or API Integrations.
- Partnering with Finance teams and other technology teams to contribute to setting technical strategy and roadmaps. Collaboration and initiative are the key.
- Providing direction to technical leads on projects in work and reviewing designs.
- Initiating and leading ‘What if', ‘What next' and ‘Why not' planning.
- Mentor and guide development teams.
- Research current and emerging technologies and be an ambassador for new technologies.
- Initiation of Proof-of-Concept projects and drive innovative changes.
- Customer-facing solution collaboration with our client reporting teams.
- Manage, track, evaluate technical capability across Value Chain to facilitate the selection and alignment of a technical solution following enterprise guardrails. Execute POCs where applicable.
- Ensure seamless interaction between data components and front-end applications.
A bit about you
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Advanced degree or relevant certifications in data architecture, machine learning, or related areas is highly desirable.
- 8+ years of experience (Software Engineering preferred)
- 2+ years of experience as Architect
- Experience creating end to end Data Flow Diagrams.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles, including data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Experience with Machine Learning framework and tools with track record of successful model development and deployment.
- Experience of designing end to end Chat bots is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment, creating partnerships across multiple levels.
- Demonstrated drive for results, with appropriate attention to details.
- Experience of managing databases, Metadata, Taxonomies.
- Proven experience in working on Microsoft/Oracle Database.
- Prior experience with Fabric/Snowflake/Databricks is a huge plus.
- Prior experience of working on Pyspark – Preferred.
- Strong business acumen (of whichever industry the candidate belongs)
- Ability to multi-task and be proactive & independent in a dynamic environment.
- Highly motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strategic and Critical approach towards solving problems and decision making.
- Results-oriented; proven ability to prioritize, drive and achieve results.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
