A bit about the role
This is a unique opportunity for a senior market-facing leader to own and help achieve the revenue targets of our exciting and ambitious new products. During our growth phase, you will be part of a lean markets organisation and are expected to 'do & think' - transition from detailed to big-picture thinking activities.
Your main responsibility of the role is to drive new business initiatives and customer acquisition in the UK. You will need to demonstrate well rounded knowledge of the Private Banking & Wealth management industry and marketplace in the region. Additionally, can speak with authority, e.g., on market trends, best practices, competitive practices, regulatory issues, etc. This role is a quota bearing role.
Key aspects of the role are:
- An insatiable hunger to find, create and win new business
- Proactively assess, clarify and validate market and customer segment attractiveness and potential
- Actively create and drive pipeline by identifying, matching and engaging Financial Institutions in Private Banking, Wealth and Asset Management with our new proposition
- Developing and executing sales strategies, tactics and action plans in order to achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the region including the customers, the prospects, the partners, the influencers, and the competitors
- Drive events and raise the profile of Avaloq and its new proposition within the region
- Proactively and creatively generate demand, high conversion rates, short sales cycle and high win ratio
A bit about you
- Strong proven track record of Sales leadership in the Wealth and Core Banking Industry; meeting, or exceeding targets.
- Excellent negotiation skills, a good business sense, and strong leadership with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and ability to negotiate complex deals
- Proven financial Acumen: Use financial analysis to make decisions, evaluate opportunities and choices; know how financial decisions impact business success
- Strong influencing capability and a collaborative and partnership-oriented approach
It would be a real bonus if you have:
- Global experience is an added advantage – in particular in Europe
- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus
