A bit about the role

We are looking for a highly motivated transfer pricing / tax specialist with a passion for the tech industry to support our Group Tax team on a temporary basis. Your work, whether it is your personal contribution in the day-to-day global transfer pricing work at our Headquarter in Zurich or your support in one of our various projects, is used to ensure global compliance and make strategic company decisions.

Your key tasks

  • Overseeing the consistent and correct application of the Avaloq Transfer Pricing policy within the Avaloq Group and, more widely, in all interactions with the rest of the NEC Group.
  • Overseeing the quarterly and ad hoc computations of all intercompany accruals and recharges (automated and manual) and the year-end transfer pricing computations together with the Head of Group Tax.
  • Overseeing all Transfer Pricing Compliance matters, in accordance with local and international regulations.
  • Provision of expert advice on transfer pricing implications, definition and implementation of the appropriate transfer pricing setup for internal projects, business initiatives and strategies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations) to identify and mitigate Transfer Pricing risks by conducting regular risk assessments and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Being the point of contact with externals (e.g., financial auditors, tax advisors) for Transfer Pricing matters.
  • Leading and/or supporting process improvements by optimising the use of technology in tax relevant processes together with the SAP and Analytics teams.

A bit about you

  • Master degree in law or economics preferably with further education in transfer pricing e.g. executive program in transfer pricing and minimum of 5-year professional experience in a tax consulting firm and/or in a similar in-house tax position in a multinational environment
  • Sound knowledge international transfer pricing regulations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

It would be a real bonus if you have:

  • User experience in SAP FI
  • Any additional language is a plus
