Martin Greweldinger was appointed as Avaloq’s Group CEO in April 2024, after serving as Co-CEO since April 2021. He joined the company as Chief Product Officer in 2019, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry with international companies such as Boston Consulting Group, Credit Suisse and Commerzbank. Martin Greweldinger holds an MBA from IE Business School and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
Thomas Widmer joined Avaloq in May 2021 as Chief Operating Officer and member of the Group Executive Board. Before joining Avaloq, Thomas Widmer was Partner at Boston Consulting Group where he supported and advised financial institutions on strategy and business model transformation, operating model and process optimization, as well as the development of digital products and new businesses. Thomas Widmer holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from the University of Basel and a master’s degree in banking and finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
Enrico Ardielli has been with Avaloq since 2002, serving in various leadership roles, including most recently as Chief Acquisition Officer. In 2023, he resumed his responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer, having previously held this position on the Avaloq Group Executive Board from 2002 to 2014. Before joining Avaloq, Enrico Ardielli worked as Head of Corporate Controlling and Accounting at Swiss Life. Enrico Ardielli has a PhD in accounting and business administration from the University of Zurich.
Hubert Gmünder joined Avaloq in 2016 as Head Group Corporate Legal and was promoted to Group General Counsel in December 2020. Since April 2021, he has been a member of Avaloq’s Group Executive Board. Before joining Avaloq, Hubert Gmünder spent two years researching bankruptcy law, including a one-year stay at Harvard Law School. Prior to that, he worked as an outside counsel in the Corporate/M&A department of law firm Schellenberg Wittmer. Hubert Gmünder holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Lausanne and a PhD from the University of Neuchâtel. He is admitted to the Swiss bar.
Georges Roten joined Avaloq in June 2021 as Regional Head for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, supporting banks and wealth managers on their digital transformation journey. In 2023, he was appointed to the Avaloq Group Executive Board as Managing Director for Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Prior to joining Avaloq, he spent 12 years at Bank Sarasin as Head of IT and worked as a senior adviser at various international consulting firms.
Pascal Wengi joined Avaloq in 2020, serving most recently as Managing Director for North Asia. In 2023, he was appointed as Managing Director for Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, joining the Avaloq Group Executive Board. Pascal Wengi has over 15 years of experience in the financial technology industry and is based in Hong Kong. Before joining Avaloq, Pascal Wengi worked with several technology vendors in Asia and Switzerland, including Crealogix.
Martin Büchi has been with Avaloq since 2004, holding various leadership functions, including Lead Software Architect, Head Architecture and Chief Architect. In 2023, he was appointed Chief Technology Officer, having served on the Avaloq Group Executive Board since 2021. Martin Büchi brings more than 20 years of business experience in addition to his academic achievements. He holds a master’s degree in computer engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) as well as a PhD in computer science from Åbo Akademi University in Finland.
Roberto Vigano joined Avaloq in 2001 as Head of Banking Operations. He has since then held various leadership functions within the organization, including Head of Technical Client Management and Chief Client Service Officer. Roberto Vigano was appointed Chief Banking Operations Officer in 2023 and serves on the Avaloq Group Executive Board. Before Avaloq, he was Head of Back Office and a senior business analyst at Deutsche Bank in Milan and Frankfurt, respectively. Roberto Vigano has a degree in accounting and computer science, and he has completed the LEAP program at INSEAD.
Tom Hira joined Avaloq in January 2024 as Chief Collaboration Officer, supporting strategic, business development, and synergy efforts between Avaloq and NEC. He joined NEC in 1991, focusing on the Japan domestic business until 2015, when he moved into senior strategy and business development in NEC’s US and UK subsidiaries. His most recent roles at NEC involved leading the acquisition of Avaloq and promoting synergies with overseas subsidiaries, before becoming General Manager of the Strategy Division of the Digital Government Digital Finance Business Unit. Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from KEIO University, and he has completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD.
