Internship Opportunity : OTC Derivatives Operations
Step into the heart of financial market operations!
Join our dynamic team and gain, practical, hands-on experience in the day-to-day processing of Over the Counter (OTC) Equity and FX Derivatives including Accumulators, Swaps, DCIs and Structured Investments.
This is a great opportunity for students keen to explore how complex trades are managed from execution to settlement.
Your tasks
- Supporting the validation, booking and settlement of real-world derivative trades
- Learn how to match trade details and investigate discrepancies with traders and counterparties
- Gaining exposure to SWIFT messaging, accounting entries, and trade events like Fixings, Knockouts and Expiries
- Handling trade confirmations, resolving breaks in internal and external accounts, and working with platforms like DTCC and Marketwire
- Collaborating closely with internal teams, and understanding the importance of controls, compliance, and risk management
- Assisting in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for new systems or enhancements
This internship offers a well-rounded view of how financial products are managed operationally, making it perfect for students who are detail oriented, curious about Capital Markets, and eager to learn in a collaborative Fintech Environment.
A bit about you
- Polytechnic or University student pursuing a diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field
- Strong interest in Financial Markets or Investment products
- Comfortable with Excel and working with numbers
- Meticulous with a knack for problem solving
- Good team player with strong communication skills
- Curious, eager to learn, and able to follow instructions independently
- Available for a full-time internship lasting 6 months
